Choosing the right centrifuge: Key questions to consider
Do you need to find the right centrifuge for your filtration needs but aren’t sure where to begin? These questions can help point you in the right direction.
Powerful centrifugal forces build up inside the spinning rotor, filtering out soot and other contaminants from lubrication oil, which helps the oil last longer. In general, this depends on the type of machine as well as the operating conditions. However, it is best to clean centrifuges after 100 hours of use to avoid the buildup inside the rotor from exceeding 45 mm. As for replacement, MANN+HUMMEL’s centrifuges can lengthen the service interval up to 100,000 kilometers.
